Planetary Guardians

Our planet is in crisis. Six of nine critical Earth systems have breached safe limits, but there is hope. We can still change course and create a thriving future for all. To raise awareness and prompt action, Planetary Guardians launched a powerful two-part visual art campaign during NY Climate Week 2024.

In collaboration with National Geographic photographers and leveraging guerrilla marketing tactics, we created bold, eye-catching installations to capture the attention of global political and business leaders. Through 14 compelling artworks, 30 wild postings, and 150 bathroom installations near high-traffic locations such as the UN and Clinton Global Initiative, the campaign highlighted the urgent need to address climate change and the dangers of environmental degradation, including the effects of microplastics on human health.

The campaign’s success was amplified by digital engagement, including videos and social media content, reaching an estimated 22+ million impressions over two weeks. This groundbreaking initiative set a new standard for how public art can drive urgent climate conversations.
