Through our Global Open Call for Art we are awarding $1000 to 100 artists from around the world to create symbols that build trust in the safety and efficacy of vaccines, advocate for vaccine equity, and help combat vaccine disinformation.

“I created this poster to demand for equal access to vaccines and to encourage trust in vaccines for people all over the world. I asked my friends and family to send me photos along with phrases in their native languages and I drew inspiration from two famous art pieces, Warhol’s “Marlyn Monroe” and “Rosie the Riveter” to create an image that would hopefully inspire and comfort people to fight for their communities’ rights to a vaccine. The people in my poster are human rights activists, doctors, essential workers, religious leaders, and students. If you would like to be in a poster, please message me on instagram at sandrine.ava along with an inspiring pro vaccine phrase in the language of your choice.” – Sandrine Demathieu
