Through our Global Open Call for Art we are awarding $1000 to 100 artists from around the world to create symbols that build trust in the safety and efficacy of vaccines, advocate for vaccine equity, and help combat vaccine disinformation.

“This art work features a South Asian women feeling empowered after having her vaccine.I was inspired by my own heritage for this piece after understanding many south asians in the UK were hesitant to take the vaccine. I created this pieces to encourage south asian women to get vaccinated. Studies have shown that people from South Asian backgrounds were at higher risk of getting infected by covid leading to hospitalisation & death during the the second wave in the UK. So it is highly important we encourage our communities to get vaccinated.” – Kamiya Chirodian
