In response to COVID-19, Amplifier launched an emergency campaign with top art curators and public-health advisors from around the world looking for public health and safety messages that can help flatten the curve through education and symbols that help promote mental health, well-being, and social change work during these stressful times.
For this poster, I wanted to make something as a symbol of hope in these difficult times. Simultaneously, I wanted to emphasize the message of social distancing and how important it can be during this pandemic. In terms of visually, I wanted viewers to imagine the warm summer nights we’ll spend with our friends when all of this is over. During the process of making this, I imagined what a visualization of peace and calm would look like. The character sits on a roof imagining better times and knowing that even though good days are temporarily postponed, they will return if we stay home and stay smart about this disease.
