Shyama Kuver (she, her, herself) was born and raised in San Francisco, California by two loving immigrant parents from the Fiji Islands. An artist from birth, Shyama was drawn to street and political art from a very young age. Being in San Francisco only fueled this connection between creative practice and community-centered politics. Her work focuses on the significance of our inner lives, our connections to all other living beings, and the importance of temporality, past, present, and future. She is now living and learning in Washington, DC.
