Valaska (Valérie Gaudreault-Guilbert) is a queer freelance illustrator currently living in the suburbs of Montreal. After a mostly self-taught path and graduating from a year in advertising illustration at College Salette, she started creating posters for events/public figures and did editorial artwork along the way. Since 2018, she is also a professional member of the non-profit organization Illustration Québec. Through digital painting, her perspective prioritizes art as a tool for social justice and she is always eager to communicate her love for all things living via portraits or humorous subjects.
