Lars is a conceptual artist whose work touches on socio-political narratives and frequently addresses the environment.  He grew up splitting his childhood between Washington and Alaska. Born into a family of commercial fishermen, Lars grew up in the aftermath of the Exxon Valdez oil spill in Prince William Sound.  Seeing its impact first hand on the environment and community left a resounding effect on him. Lars received his BFA from Washington State University.  He has created murals extensively in Los Angeles, Seattle, Buenos Aires, Lisbon and Athens. In addition to his own practice, Lars taught Art at Nova, a public alternative high school in Seattle and tries to volunteer whenever he can at after school art programs.

At Amplifier, Lars serves as the Distribution Coordinator, handling our distribution for our online store and across our programs. He also installs artwork for our public art campaigns, and handles customer service.
